...

I am a artist. That doesn't mean I make art, it means I HAVE to make art. From the time I was a little kid, whenever there was paper and something to draw with, I would draw. I think of myself as an obsessive compulsive doodler. I draw, it's just what I do. Recently, my eyes have been not feeling well, at it was literally causing me pain to draw. But I couldn't not draw. I was pulled to art like a moth to a flame. People often ask me if I want to pursue it, like for a career. Well, of course I do; it's the only thing that I truly enjoy.

"...Captivity shared is but half captivity."

~The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexander Dumas

To Be or Not To Be

To be oneself, or not to be oneself: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous ridicule,
Or to take arms against a sea of scoffers,
And by opposing end them? To be criticized: to be ill-thought of;
No more; and to be ill-thought of, to say we end.

He's right, you know....

Happiness

"Man does not appear to me to be intended to enjoy felicity unmixed; happiness is like the enchanted places where dagons defend the entrance; and monsters to be overcome."

Edmond Dantes, The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexander Dumas.

"Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster." - Friedrich Nietzsche

So, I hate Friedrich Nietzsche, but this quote is very, very true.
