All the world’s a stage

All the world’s a stage,

And all the men and woman merely players;

They all have their exits and their entrances;

They all are just acting;

They all are just reading script that is laid before them;

They all are faking smiles.

I’m tired of acting,

I’m tired of this ongoing play;

I’m tired of living on this stage,

I am waiting for the last curtain call:

For when I can finally stop acting; and stop faking smiles.

All the world’s a stage,

And all the people merely being someone they are not;

The nice clothes are the costumes;

The nice houses are just sets;

The smiles are just masks to hide the hurt,

The pleasant words are just lines from a script:

I’m tired of acting.
